Investor Group on Climate Change

ESSSuper has also become a member of the Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC).

IGCC Membership

By becoming a member of the IGCC, ESSSuper endorses the mission of the IGCC, which is to ensure that the risks and opportunities associated with climate change are incorporated into investment decisions for the ultimate benefit of individual investors.

Members are required to contribute to the mission of the IGCC by: 

• Demonstrating progress incorporating the risks and opportunities associated with climate change into investment decisions or investment advice as appropriate, and into business operations; 
• Assisting to raise awareness of the risks and opportunities associated with climate change in the investment industry, corporate, government and community sectors; 
• Participating in the IGCC by attending meetings, participating on a committee and supporting activities; and 
• Encouraging other organisations within the broader investment industry to join the IGCC and support the IGCC activities.
