About the New Scheme


The New Scheme is a defined benefit fund established in 1988 and has been closed to new members since 31 December 1993.

The New Scheme provides lump sum superannuation benefits on retirement, resignation, retrenchment, ill health, death & disability for employees, including temporary employees, who joined the Victorian Public Service, Teaching Service, and participating agencies between 1 July 1988 and 31 December 1993.

This scheme also has members who have transferred from other schemes.
