Payment of benefit in the event of death
If you have eligible dependants
In the event of your death, (after resignation) a benefit is payable to your dependants, which may include any eligible children under 18 or that are full time students up to the age of 25 and disabled “adult children” within the meaning of section 53(2A) of the State Superannuation Act 1988.
If you have no eligible dependants
A refund of your contributions and earnings (if you did not take them when you resigned), and any amount required under Superannuation Guarantee legislation, is payable to your Estate.

Further details on your Resignation Benefit is provided each year in your annual benefit statement and annual report.
If you resign prior to your minimum retirement age and become entitled to a deferred benefit, you will receive an annual benefit statement which shows your deferred benefit payable at your minimum retirement age and the present-day value of the deferred benefit converted to a lump sum.
