EmployerDirect

EmployerDirect allows participating Victorian Government employers to process defined benefit contributions, change employee details and access general reports.

EmployerDirect allows employers with active ESSSuper defined benefit scheme members to process defined benefit contributions, change employee details and access general reports.

For ESSSuper defined benefit scheme members with an accumulation account, additional member contributions can be paid via a clearing house or EmployerDirect.

For ESSSuper members who are not in the defined benefit schemes, "Choice of Fund" Superannuation Guarantee and/or member contributions, can be paid via a clearing house or EmployerDirect.

Go to the EmployerDirect site to log in, register or find out more about how to use the site. EmployerDirect also provides you with access to our employer manual and employer forms.

Other Employers

Employers submitting "Choice of Fund" Superannuation Guarantee and/or member accumulation scheme contributions on behalf of ESSSuper members, must pay via a clearing house if you have five or more employees. If you have less than five employees, you currently have the ability to pay via BPAY or EFT.

Contributing Via SuperStream

Important: SuperStream

Please note, manual remittances accompanied with EFT payments are being phased out by legislation. The timeline below advises when this payment method will no longer comply with obligations under the new legislation:

  • 20 employees or more: Pay via SuperStream since 1 July 2015
  • Between 5 and 19 employees: Pay via SuperStream since 1 July 2016
  • Less than 5 employees: Date yet to be confirmed

If you wish to make contributions via SuperStream, the Unique Superannuation Identifier (USI) for ESSSuper is ESS0003AU & ABN 85894637037

Please ensure that employees have an account with ESSSuper prior to submitting contributions on their behalf. If the member is not eligible to join the fund, contributions will be returned.

For employers with less than 5 employees, the payment method below ensures compliance with SuperStream legislative reform - without the need of engaging a clearing house service.

Contribute with BPAY

The easiest way to make regular contributions is by BPAY. Simply submit your payment and you're finished.

When you use BPAY, we do not require any further information from you - no remittance slips!

Getting started

If you are not sure of the BPAY details for your employee(s), just email us at employer.services@esssuper.com.au providing the following details:

  • Your Employer Number, (if available)
  • Your company/business name
  • ESSSuper member numbers for the employee(s)

Making EFT contributions

New employers wishing to submit contributions using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), will need to email us at employer.services@esssuper.com.au and provide the following details:

  • Your company/business name and ABN
  • Your employee(s) details: ESSSuper member number, full name and date of birth
ESSSuper will then advise you of our BSB number and your unique account number to make your EFT payment.
