Webinars

Our educational webinars are well known for turning "super difficult" into "super simple" by providing clear and concise information about your ESSSuper account from the comfort of your home.

In our webinars, our Member Education Consultants give you general advice and information about ESSSuper and how your account works. This can include understanding what can and can't be done, strategies available to meet retirement objectives, transitioning to retirement, making your super work in retirement, and more.

About ESSSuper webinars

  • A webinar is a group event you can attend online; essentially a "web seminar"
  • There's no additional fee or cost to register or attend a webinar
  • They usually run for around two hours
  • You can ask questions through a messaging tool in the webinar, and we'll email you a copy of the presentation afterwards
  • Your friends, colleagues and family members are welcome to register and attend, but bear in mind that your defined benefit super or pension may work very differently than their super or pension
  • Attendees need to register for each webinar so we know who to send the webinar link and presentation to
  • Webinars are run through the Zoom Webinar platform, so attendees can use the Zoom desktop client or mobile app (which can be downloaded from links in the registration confirmation email) or an internet web browser. Most systems, browsers, and devices can access Zoom, and information about the technical requirements to attend are available by searching "Zoom system requirements" on the Zoom website (support.zoom.us).

Who runs the webinars?

Webinars are run by our team of Member Education Consultants, who can provide information and general advice about the intricacies of your fund. We ran these sessions as face-to-face seminars until March 2020. Since then, the team has run the sessions as on-line webinars so our service didn't stop during the pandemic and more people can attend. So far our Member Education Consultants have run over 100 webinars – and counting!

Why might attending a webinar benefit you?

To some people, attending a two-hour webinar may not sound like time well spent. However, learning about your ESSSuper account can help you get your super sorted now, so you maximise your super savings for retirement. Whether you're decades or months away from retirement (or if you've already retired), our webinars aim to sharpen your existing knowledge and help you understand even more.
