Everyone is different - with individual circumstances, needs, wants, ambitions, limitations and dreams - but as an ESSSuper member you have a head start to achieving the type of retirement you want.

• 10 years from retirement Get the facts and begin to plan your retirement. At this stage it could be simple, with the aim of maximising your benefit, consolidating any other super you have and defining some retirement objectives. You'll want to seek out some information to help you along the way.
• 5 years from retirement You've put your plans into action and are on the way to achieving your retirement objectives. You may even be transitioning into your retirement. Now is a good time to review your retirement objectives, update your plan, come to a webinar or call us.
• 1 year from retirement Lucky you! Your plan has run its course and you are looking at finishing work soon. It's a great idea to let us know a date you're planning to retire (even if it changes later). As well as setting up for your retirement pursuits, there’s some practical things you’ll need to do this year to be retirement ready.
