Our executive team has extensive experience, knowledge and plays a fundamental role in delivering the best possible retirement outcomes to our members. Here’s a little bit of information about who they are and why they’re perfect for running your fund.

Robbie Campo: Chief Executive Officer

Robbie Campo

Robbie joined ESSSuper in July 2022 as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Robbie has worked as an executive in the superannuation industry for over two decades and has extensive experience in strategy, product, marketing, brand, communications, transformation, public policy, risk management and financial advice.

She is passionate about the fundamental purpose of superannuation: to maximise the retirement outcomes of Australians and ensure that the hard-earned contributions made throughout their working lives create financial security for them in their post-working years. A key priority for Robbie is to see systemic improvements in women's retirement outcomes.

For the five years prior to joining ESSSuper, Robbie was Group Executive for Brand, Engagement, Advocacy and Product at Cbus SuperFund. Before that, she worked at Industry Super Australia as Deputy Chief Executive and represented the interests of the members of some of Australia's largest super funds in Canberra. Robbie is also a current Non-Executive Director and member of the Audit and Risk Committee at Victoria Legal Aid, a Director of Women in Super and the Chair of their Policy Committee.

Robbie holds a law degree (with honours), a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education, and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment. She is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Felicity Brasher: Group Executive, Member Engagement

Felicity Brasher

Felicity became Group Executive, Member Engagement in May 2023. In this role, Felicity leads ESSSuper's Member Service Centre, and Member Education and Member Advice teams.

Since joining ESSSuper in April 2019, Felicity has been promoted to Manager, Member Advice in January 2020, and was appointed Acting General Manager, Member Engagement in December 2021.

Felicity has more than 29 years of experience in the financial services industry, with over 15 years in people leadership roles. Starting her career in financial advice with Deloitte Financial Services in 1994, Felicity has since worked with other large financial institutions such as NAFM, MLC, and BT where she held senior roles such as Paraplanning Operations Manager, Business Consulting Manager, and Regional Manager (Advice).

Felicity holds qualifications in Business Administration and Financial Advice.

Monica Cimera: Group Executive, People & Culture

Monica Cimera

Monica became Group Executive, People & Culture in May 2023.

After starting with ESSSuper in December 2019 as Manager, Human Resources, Monica was promoted to lead the organisation's Human Resources and Organisational Development functions in December 2021.

Monica has more than 20 years of experience in human resources across a number of industries including FMCG with the Fosters Group, education, and financial services across both the private and public sectors. She has extensive experience with leading organisations and their people through times of heightened change and transition. Prior to joining the ESSSuper business Monica held leadership roles in HR Operations at First State Superannuation and at Chisholm Institute of TAFE as the Head of People & Culture.

Monica holds qualifications in both human resources and leadership.

David Daley: Group Executive, Fund Administration & Transformation

David Daley

David became Group Executive, Fund Administration & Transformation in May 2023. In this role, David leads ESSSuper's Claims & Insurance, Member & Employer Administration Support, and Iress Operations Oversight teams.

After initially joining the ESSSuper as General Manager, Member Engagement in 2018, David was Acting CEO from January to July 2022. As General Manager, Strategic Transformation starting July 2022, David oversaw the transition of account administration services to Iress.

David has more than 29 years of experience in financial Services, with over 18 of those years in the superannuation arena. His background includes roles as a senior executive within member-based organisations. In his most recent role, he oversaw the contact centre operations that supported industry superannuation funds, such as AustralianSuper, HESTA and Cbus. David is a firm believer in building high performance cultures in order to drive success in member services. He is passionate about member experience, and also serves on the advisory board for IQPC Contact Centre Week.

David holds qualifications in Operations, Contact Centre Strategy, Learning and Development and Superannuation.

Bruce Garner: Chief Financial Officer

Bruce Garner

Bruce became the Chief Financial Officer in September 2022 and leads our Finance, Investment Operations, and Defined Benefit Knowledge Management teams within our Corporate Services Division.

After joining ESSSuper in January 2018 as Manager, Fund Accounting and was promoted to the new General Manager, Corporate Services in September 2019.

For the past 20 years, Bruce has worked in financial services and has held senior roles at Mercer, Cbus (including Cbus Property) and Superpartners. His background has covered superannuation, financial and management accounting, investment operations, direct and indirect tax, property, crediting rates and unit pricing.

Bruce is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants.

Akshat Gaur: Group Executive, Technology & Information Security

Akshat Gaur

Akshat joined ESSSuper in January 2022 as General Manager, Trustee Services, and became Group Executive, Technology & Information Security in May 2023. In this role he leads the organisation's Technology, Project Management Office, Data & Digital Platforms, and Vendor Management teams.

With over 19 years' experience delivering and leading technology and digital transformations in Australia, UK, India, and USA, Akshat has held multiple technology roles in the superannuation, telecom, and consulting industries.

Akshat is an MBA and holds an Engineering Degree in Electronics and Telecommunications. He also holds multiple industry certifications and has successfully completed executive courses from MIT Sloan.

Daniel Selioutine: Group Executive, Investments

Daniel Selioutine

Daniel joined ESSSuper in June 2018 as General Manager, Investments and became Group Executive, Investments in May 2023. He leads the organisation's investments teams.

Daniel previously worked at Frontier, a leading Australian asset consultant providing investment advice to Australian superannuation funds. During his time at Frontier he held a number of roles, including Head of Currency and member of the Capital Markets and Asset Allocation team. Prior to Frontier, Daniel worked for a Melbourne based currency hedge fund.

Daniel holds a First Class Honours degree in Finance from the University of Melbourne and is a CFA Charterholder. He has also facilitated lectures to students undertaking their CFA exams.

Liz Tromans: Group Executive, Legal, Risk, & Compliance

Liz Tromans

Liz joined ESS Super in January 2022 as General Manager, Legal, Risk, & Compliance and the Board Secretary. She became Group Executive, Legal, Risk, & Compliance in May 2023.

With over 30 years' experience in financial and commercial services, Liz has held senior roles at NAB, Corrs Lawyers, PwC and Australia Post. Liz is a trusted governance professional and company secretary with legal, finance (tax) and enterprise-wide business experience (public and private sector, local and international jurisdictions). In her last role she was Head of Governance & Risk and the Company Secretary of the Australia Post Superannuation Scheme.

Liz is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Directors, an Australian Lawyer and a member of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants. She has a Masters of Commercial Law, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Bachelor of Economics.

Duncan Winton: Group Executive, Strategy, Brand, & Insights

Duncan Winton

Duncan became Group Executive, Strategy, Brand, & Insights in May 2023. In this role he leads ESSSuper's Strategy & Insights, Product, and Marketing, Brand, & Communications teams, which are responsible for how ESSSuper engages with members in a dynamic superannuation landscape.

After starting with ESSSuper as Manager, Commercial and Performance in  2017, Duncan was promoted to the role of GM Member Strategy in June 2019.

Duncan has worked across a variety of industries, and companies including ESG, where he was General Manager Commercial, ANZ Bank, Superpartners and CSC. His background includes superannuation, commercial management, business transformation and accounting.

Duncan is a qualified CPA with an Economics Degree from Monash University.
